ARTIST'S STATEMENT: This current body of work is meant to push the boundaries of wearability and comfort. The size and notion of the pieces seek to manifest themselves as psychological weight. As extensions of the self, their physical characteristic lie somewhere between the fantastic and the real.
I am propelled in my work towards objects and things that elicit a duality of emotive response, creations that require both disgust and fascination. I find that the inclusion of "found" objects adds to the history of the piece. It installs a narrative for the viewer associated with the particular objects that are chosen.
